Helm’s Deep armor?
I’m starting on making Helm’s Deep elven armor, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what material works best? Also, I wanted to make a sword similar to Haldir’s (or Arwen’s), but I have no idea on how to go about making it (what materials, design, etc.). Can anyone give me some ideas? I want to make something that will turn out nicely and not look fake.

For the sword, you may want to hit a local Renaissance Faire- they frequently have not-quite-exact-enough-to-be-licensed-replica swords that look a great deal like the movie originals. I got a “Sting” lookalike for about $30 at a local faire.
