Yes they have way surpassed belts. Undertaker and HBK are both legendary competitors of this business and having a belt doesn’t change ANYTHING! Undertaker has created legendary moments in Hell in a Cell and his innovative matches like the casket match inferno match hell in a cell and his streak. Undertaker didn’t build his career on titles he built it from his legendary matches and feuds. Undertaker is a 6 time world champion but he won’t be remembered for his championships he’ll be remembered for some great moments and memories he left us with like his legendary streak and Undertaker’s gimmick is truly one of a kind it sells even to this day and it’s one of the most successful gimmicks out there. I don’t care if Undertaker has the belt or not he’ll always be one of the greatest performers WWE ever had.
Same thing for HBK he didn’t build his career from titles he’s only a 4 time world champion. HBK always steals shows and really makes a match entertaining. He’s very innovative with crazy maneuvers and he has had some great matches against superstars like Undertaker Edge Bret Hart Stone Cold and so many others. HBK has also been an innovator participating in the first ladder match ironman match and hell in a cell. Shawn Michaels is truly the heartbreak kid the showstopper the main event and for his always amazing performances at wrestlemania he’ll also be remembered as Mr. Wrestlemania. Both Undertaker and HBK have created legacies far greater than titles. Titles don’t even mean much in WWE nowadays it’s thrown everywhere and changes from champion to champion in a month.
BQ: No the number of belts don’t mean anything. Triple H is a 13 Time world champion but does he really equal those belts NO! I like and respect Triple H but i don’t think he even deserves that much titles. He should be at the maximum a 8-9 time world champion and he should be helping younger superstars like HBK and Undertaker. Edge shouldn’t have 9 titles right now he’s a transitional champion if WWE only gave him solid title reigns he would be somewhere around 6 time world champion. I think Ric Flair truly deserves most of his titles because Ric Flair actually defended his title across the world and shown how great of a wrestler he really is.
Titles don’t mean anything Hulk Hogan is a 11 time champion does that mean he is that great? No many great superstars who never won world championships like Roddy Piper and Ricky Steamboat are amazing superstars but they’re not world champions. Titles don’t mean anything it’s your great matches and feuds and memories that really stay behind.
