S&W knives are generally a very good knife for the money. Most pocket-clip models run $20 to $40. It is the S&W knives that run under $20 that you have to watch for. I have a large SWAT with G-10 handles and a Titanium Hostage Rescue that are well-built and hold an edge really well (440 stainless blades). The SWAT cost me $20 at Smokey Mountain Knife Works and the Hostage Rescue was bought at a local gun shop for $35. To me that’s a lot of knife for not a lot of money. The Kershaw knives never really appealled to me in the “looks” department. My daily carry knife if a Columbia River Knife and Tool M1. I also have a CRKT M16 EDC and a M21. For fit, finish and cost… CRKT has most any knifemaker beat. All of those CRKT knives can be bought for under $45 each. Benchmade is the king, but you pay royally for them.
