Why does my laptop monitor go dark after a while but desktop items can still be seen altho barely?
This DOESN’T HAPPEN when my laptop’s on BATTERY/DC MODE. When on AC power the monitor goes dark after 10 mins or so. To temporarily solve this recurring problem, I have to toggle with my laptop’s Fn+F8 keys to make the screen reappear on my laptop’s monitor (or switch to viewing/using an external LCD monitor). I can’t keep on toggling with my Function keys forever or bring my 20-inch LCD monitor when I go mobile.
check the power settings. the switching of supplies might be in the reverse way. instead of giving brighter light at ac mode it gives dark output.
