Question about safety of cast iron wood burner?

We moved into a new house that has a cast iron wood burner. I would like to use that this winter as another source of heat. However, I have a very active 3 year old little boy and there is nothing around the wood burner that would prevent him from touching it or falling into it. My question is do they make anything to put around it to prevent my son from getting burned?

get a few sections of fencing…. or wire fencing and set up a perimeter around the woodburner…. it can be there for another year ro so and then removed as the child learns more about the ‘hot’…. and it’s cute done up for xmas, too!….

we used sections of metal trellis, wired together.. then had them for in the garden later…. just gotta find the right design of trellis….

use metal so you don’t have the worry of a wood fence catching fire….
